Time & Tide

Part of my series of double exposures, this piece sandwiches an exposure of an antique clock that sat on my grandparents' mantelpiece my entire childhood with that of a sandstone beach on Hornby Island, with its characteristic flowing stone forms.

The print is facemounted behind a sheet of clear acrylic and mounted to a lightweight, durable aluminum composite panel. Light refracts through the acrylic, making the colours pop – creating a 3D-like effect.
